UTILITY BILLING CLERK:
Upper Macungie Township is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Utility Billing Clerk in the Finance Department. This position will provide various clerical and finance duties by assisting with the maintenance of customer accounts, prepare and process invoices, work as a cashier collecting payments, prepare and submit grants, provide customer service support on a daily basis; answering phones, greeting guests, answer inquiries, and provide backup for Receptionist, Clerks, and Finance Department Positions.
Must have excellent customer service, organizational, problem solving, and computer skills (Word, OneNote, Excel, etc.) with a minimum two (2) years’ clerical experience; general knowledge or previous experience with municipal government preferred. The successful candidate must submit to a background check and pre-employment screening.
This position is full-time. Salary range: $15.00-$16.39. Pay rate will commensurate with education, skills, and relevant experience. Gatekeeper Attendant for Yard Waste/Compost Drop-Off Site (Public Works Dept.)
Duties involved are, but not limited to: greeting and working with the public, open & close gate, verifying customer residency, inspection of materials. Work is performed in all types of weather; weekends included. Ensure all dumping is done within rules of the site. The position is 20-30 hours per week. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age or older, pass pre-employment background check’s as well as a post-offer physical with drug screen. $9.50/HR
