The Swim & Gym Program is one of South Whitehall Township's Recreation longest running programs. We partner with the Parkland School District to give residents access to the High School Pool and Gymnasiums over the winter. This program typically runs from mid-January through March, on Sundays from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. Specific dates are dependent on the High School event schedule and are announced once it has been received.

Guidelines & Important Information:

• Swim & Gym is open swim and open gym time on select Sundays from 1:00pm- 5:00pm for Parkland School District Residents ONLY.
• Although there is NO pre-registration and NO program fee, participants MUST have an Account in our Online Recreation Portal to verify residency.

2026 Swim & Gym Dates: 

o    January- 25th POOL ONLY (gyms not available)

• Inclement Weather: We are tracking the forecast and will announce cancelations here, on social media, and through RecDesk emails.

o   February- 8th, and 22nd

o   March- 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th

IMPORTANT:

o   Participants MUST shower prior to swimming per the Parkland Area School District.

o   Organized group activities are NOT permitted during this time and will be denied access to the pool and gym areas. This program is for recreational family or individual swimming and recreational pick-up basketball or volleyball (when nets are available).
