The Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code, Act 45 of 1999, has approved the 2021 ICC Code Series for enforcement starting on January 1, 2026. 

• Builders wishing to use the current 2018 PA UCC must have a design or construction contract signed before January 1, 2026, and apply for the building permit by June 30, 2026 (within six months).

• Any design or construction contracts signed on or after January 1, 2026, or permit applications submitted on or after July 1, 2026, must comply with the 2021 PA UCC.
