For your convenience, Upper Macungie Township provides property owners with the means to properly dispose of their leaves and yard wastes. Our Yard Waste Drop off site is located at the corner of Schantz & Grim Road in Breinigsville.

RECREATION AND EVENTS COORDINATOR- Upper Macungie Township seeks person to administer reservation schedule for parks, fields and community center events. This position schedules, promotes and implements recreational programs and other related clerical duties. Customer Service responsibility for residents and visitors regarding rentals, payments and general information. Applicants should have one year administrative and customer service experience, be able to work in a team environment, have good oral and written communication skills and possess a positive attitude.
Helpful additional skills will include website updates & coordinating twsp. Newsletters. Basic knowledge of building & zoning permit administration is desired, but not required. ROAD CREW LABORER – Upper Macungie Township is currently accepting applications/resumes for the position of a full time ROAD CREW LABORER- within the Public Works Dept.
This position is required to meet all laborer functions & be able to work as part of a team. Have the ability to operate heavy equipment, knowledge of road work projects, have experience in road maintenance, and able to interact with the public in a courteous way. Required to work in all types of weather. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. & perform strenuous and repetitive work. Must have a PA B CDL license with a good driving record. This position reports to the Crew Leaders as well as the Director of Public Works and is a full time hourly position. Schantz Road is closed between Arrowhead Lane/Twin Ponds to Adams Road/Tillage Road. The PennDOT road project has an anticipated completion date in July 2015 and will involve the removal of the “S-curve”. This will make for a very challenging 15 months.
A new phone system has been installed. There are many different features of this new system; notably, you will be able to leave voice messages directly to our staff/departments. There will be a recording prior to your call being answered and you can dial your parties extension at that time to be transferred immediately to that extension. For a list of extensions, click here
