Waste Management will operate on a one day delay starting December 25th.
Every year Township Fire Departments accompany Santa during their annual Santa Runs through the neighborhoods surrounding each of the township’s volunteer fire stations. All schedules are now available as well as a revised Station 56 schedule Click here for more information.
Upper Macungie Township has a number of different boards, committees and commissions staffed by township resident volunteers. At various times, there is a need to find new members for these positions. Upper Macungie Township is blessed with a wealth of beautiful parklands and we welcome you to enjoy them! Our pavilions can be reserved April through October (no restroom facilities during other months). Reservations will only be taken for the current calendar year and we will be accepted starting Friday, January 2, 2015.
New for 2015, a second pavilion was added at Grange Park. Future development includes a total of four pavilions. The current pavilion is No. 3 and the new pavilion is No. 4.

The new Schantz Road Bridge over Breinig Run in Upper Macungie Township is open and the detour has been lifted.
Upper Macungie Township’s Samir “Sam” P. Ashmar, Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors died suddenly Thursday evening, November 20, 2014. Administration and staff wish to extend their deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy.
Sam Ashmar was a great leader, an exceptional man, a devoted husband and father, a dedicated Fire Marshal and a true friend to many. Our prayers are with the family, his beloved wife Sharon, cherished children, Makala and Joshua as well Station 56 and the entire Upper Macungie Township community. Our admiration for his many accomplishments is enduring. We all will miss you dearly and thank you for your service to our Township. Rest well our friend.

If you don’t know where to start in your home, maybe you just need to “jump in and get your feet wet”! This relaxing non-pressure class will help you determine the look you want for your space, how to make your home more user friendly and help you overcome your fear of matching patterns and selecting colors. The goal is to have fun making your house your home!
You will learn the basics, influences, guidelines, solutions and schemes of Color as well as paint finishes, the color wheel and board, working with space, arranging, room themes, patterns, lighting, decorating basics and so much more.

Due to the popularity of RT 100 Dog Park and excessive wear and tear, the large fenced area is closed. Currently, only the small fenced area is open to all dogs.

For your convenience, Upper Macungie Township provides property owners with the means to properly dispose of their leaves and yard wastes. Our Yard Waste Drop off site is located at the corner of Schantz & Grim Road in Breinigsville.
