Do you have what it takes to be a police officer or firefighter? The 2014 Junior Emergency Services Academy will be held from Monday – Friday, August 11-15. If you are the between the ages of 12 and 16 years of age, male or female and within the areas covered by the Upper Macungie B.O.F. you can sign up for a one week Junior Emergency Services Academy Program. The programs consists of two days of Police and two days of Fire related courses.
Parkland Community Library will be holding events at Independent Park Community Center, 150 Independent Road in Breinigsville on Tuesdays from June 17 through August 5. Click here for all the exciting programs.
Schantz Road between Holliday Drive and Krocks Road is scheduled to be closed on Tuesday, May 27th for approximately 2 months.
Upper Macungie Township and the Pennsylvania Recreation & Park Society is pleased to offer discount tickets for Summer and Winter recreation.
Tickets can be picked up at Upper Macungie Township Municipal Building at 8330 Schantz Road, Breinigsville between 7:30am-11:30am or 12:30pm-4:00pm Monday through Friday. Tickets are available from mid-April through the end of August. We accept cash, check or money order made payable to “UMT”.

For your convenience, Upper Macungie Township provides property owners with the means to properly dispose of their leaves and yard wastes. Our Yard Waste site located at Grim & Schantz operating hours can be viewed here.
Schantz Road is scheduled to be closed on April 7, 2014 between Arrowhead Lane/Twin Ponds to Adams Road/Tillage Road. The PennDOT road project has an anticipated completion date in July 2015 and will involve the removal of the “S-curve”. This will make for a very challenging 15 months.
A new phone system has been installed. There are many different features of this new system; notably, you will be able to leave voice messages directly to our staff/departments. There will be a recording prior to your call being answered and you can dial your parties extension at that time to be transferred immediately to that extension. For a list of extensions, click here

The Recreation Board is always striving to improve the programs and events we offer our township residents. We hold monthly meetings the last Thursday of every month at 7pm (except holidays) and encourage you to participate! You can also email your suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
