PEMA ENCOURAGES PENNSYLVANIANS TO PREPARE FOR UPCOMING HURRICANE SEASON Pema encourages Pennsylvanians to prepare for Hurricane season

THANK YOU
On June 1, UMT received a call from Mr. Carl Mantz, who represents the 187th District(4 of the 5 voting Districts in UMT are in his district) informing us that the PA DCED (Department of Community and Economic Development) has awarded our Township a grant of $5,000.00. These funds were requested to purchase a thermal imaging camera for Station 56 which will be our new Emergency Services Building. This camera enables our firefighters to determine whether there are life forms in a smoke-filled room or building. (We have these cameras at Station 8 and 25.) UMT wishes to thank Representative Mantz and his staff for their assistance in securing funds to purchase this camera which has the potential for saving the lives of people, pets and livestock.
