ACCOUNTING CLERK:

Upper Macungie Township is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time hourly Accounting Clerk. The Township is seeking qualified applicants who will be responsible for providing support in the Finance Office by performing activities related to accurately processing & posting authorized invoices & cash receipts, as well as bookkeeping functions.  This position will provide support services such as basic and advanced bookkeeping and accounting, record keeping, payroll processing. Will work closely with the Finance Director and Accounting Administrator/HR Coordinator.

This position requires knowledge of accounting procedures, strong self-discipline and computer skills, as well as an equally strong spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Ability to perform under deadlines, multi-task, and well organized and must be able to communicate effectively.  Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with accounting, payroll and bookkeeping. RECYCLING CENTER DROP-OFF SITE ATTENDANT:

Upper Macungie Township is accepting applications for part-time employment in the public works department at the rate of $8.50 per hour.

Duties involved are, but not limited to: Opens and closes the recycling center, assists the users of the facility regarding the operating hours, acceptable materials, placement in the appropriate areas, and directs traffic as needed. Applicant must have a valid PA Driver’s License, be at least 18 years of age or older, be medically and physically able to perform all job tasks, work independently outdoors in all weather conditions, possess good oral communication skills and pass a pre-employment background check as well as a post-offer physical with drug screen.

Candidate must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays, if circumstances warrant.
