Permits

Upper Macungie Township has elected to enforce Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code (UCC), the code is adopted from the 2003 Ed. of the International Construction Code (ICC). The Township is currently enforcing the 2006 update to the 2003 Ed. of the International Code. To date, no local amendments have been made. Construction activities not requiring a building permit under UCC guidelines may still require a zoning permit to be obtained from the Township. The following application instructions are applicable for sheds, pools, fences, basements, and decks.

For all permits, a permit application must be completed. Please visit Upper Macungie Township Offices for an official permit application.

Along with your permit application, a site plan must be included upon submission. Diagrams of typical site plans are included in the afore mentioned instructions for specific structures.
