Ordinance #2017-02 – Establishing Minimum Standards by Which All Fire Companies and Fire Company Personnel Recognized by Upper Macungie Township Shall Operate.

Zoning Ordinance Amendments Notice:

Notice is hereby given that Ordinances Nos. 2017-04 and 2017-05 shall be considered and, if appropriate, enacted by the Board of Supervisors of Upper Macungie Township at its meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Macungie Township Municipal Building, 8330 Schantz Road, Breinigsville, Pennsylvania 18031.   

Ordinance 2017-04 is an ordinance of the Township of Upper Macungie, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, amending the Upper Macungie Township Zoning Ordinance Section §27-118 – Conditional Use Process; Section §27-202 – Terms Defined; Section §27-306 – Table of Permitted Uses by District; Section §27-402.ooo. – Warehouse or Wholesale Sales; Section §27-601 – Required Number of Off-street Parking and Section §27-605 – Off-street loading, as set forth more fully in the body of the Ordinance. 

Ordinance 2017-05 is an ordinance of the Township of Upper Macungie, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania amending the Upper Macungie Township Zoning Ordinance by adding a new Part 10 – “Property Rehabilitation Development” which proposes to provide for the rehabilitation and repurposing of properties in need of redevelopment for aesthetic, economic revitalization and/or other reasons and to encourage cooperation between the Township and private land owners to upgrade the character of neighborhoods, enhance safety and code compliance, revitalize under-utilized properties, and create employment opportunities, as set forth more fully in the body of the Ordinance.

Copies of the proposed Ordinances shall be on display at the Upper Macungie Township Municipal Building, 8330 Schantz Road, Breinigsville, Pennsylvania between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and on file at on file at The Parkland Press, Allentown, Pennsylvania where they may be inspected.

Looking to rent a Pavilion or Independent Park (indoor facility) for your event? Upper Macungie Township is blessed with a wealth of beautiful park lands and we welcome you to enjoy them!




Our pavilions can be reserved April through October (no restroom facilities during other months). Reservations will only be taken starting January for the current calendar year. Opening date for 2015 was Friday, January 2, 2015. Independent Park is our indoor  facility beautifully suited for any occasion. Reservations for Independent Park can be made two years in advance Check them out!
